そこでは、看護師と結婚すると、病気になった時に優しく看病してもらえると思っている人に対し、それは大間違いだと助言しています。
なぜかと言うと、看護師は常に患者の命と向き合っているので、ただの風邪ならば『寝てたら治る』『そんなの病気に入らない』と的確な判断をされ、下手すると『病気なめんな』とまで言われるのです。

看護師と言えば日々、患者の治療にかかわっているので“癒やし系”という言葉がピッタリのように思いますが、実はサバサバしている方が多いのかもしれません。
そして、人の命を預かる立場として、看護師は全方向にアンテナを張れる強靱な精神力と、体力が必要なのです。
さらに、夜勤明けなど疲れて帰ってきた奥さんが昼から寝ているという光景をみることも珍しくありません。
